Change a booking

Bookings for domestic New Zealand travel may be changed online, subject to the following considerations:

- Smart Saver fares and Flexi Saver fares may be changed only before the day of travel
  - Flexi fares may be changed up until departure
  - Changes may be made to the times and/or dates of flights; the origin and destination of flights cannot be changed online
  - The booking must have been made on airnewzealand.co.nz
  - Any changes made must apply to all passengers in the same booking
 
1. The Change booking page displays details of your current booking and allows you to select which flight(s) you would like to change.
2. Click on the Select box for each flight you wish to change, choose your required date of departure, and click Search.
3. The Select new itinerary page shows the flights you may choose from and the fare difference payable, if any. Select the flight and fare type that best suits your plans by clicking on the circle next to the fare. If you see a scroll bar on the right you can move this down to view more available flights.
4. Flights are initially listed by price, with the lowest first. Use Sort by to reorder the list by Departure Time, Arrival Time, number of Stops, or flight Duration.
5. Click on the 'Info' link to view rules for each fare type.
6. Click on flight numbers to view more information about meals, stopovers, aircraft type, etc.
7. The total fare difference, plus any applicable change fees is shown at the bottom of the page. Click Continue selection to continue and pay by credit card.

8. The Review and confirm tickets page displays the flights you selected, names of travellers, total costs (if any) and fare conditions specific to your itinerary.
  Please check that all details are correct. If they are, and you have read and accepted all fare conditions and terms and conditions, simply enter your credit card details to pay any applicable costs, check your email address is correct, and click Confirm to confirm your change.
9. The booking confirmation page shows a summary of your amended itinerary. Your credit card authorisation (if applicable), booking confirmation, Electronic Ticket, Itinerary and Receipt are processed automatically. Your Electronic Ticket, Itinerary and Receipt will be sent to the email address you provided on the Purchase Tickets page.

10. If you'd like a copy of your confirmation of change, simply select Print.
11. If your booking is eligible, you will be provided with the option to for Seat Request. You will be able to select your seat and print your boarding pass saving time at the airport.
