Step 1 - Start your multistop booking

  1. Start your booking by clicking Multistop on the fare finder on the homepage.
  2. Click on the International tab.
  3. Choose your starting point, and the furthest point you'll be travelling to from the dropdown lists.

    What are my furthest points?
If, for example, you are starting from Auckland, stopping in Fiji and again in Los Angeles before travelling on to London, select Auckland as your starting point and London as your furthest point. You can then add your stopovers in Fiji and Los Angeles on the next screen.

    Not sure which is furthest?
If you are visiting more than one city in the same region and are not sure which is furthest (for example, after visiting London you will drive to Manchester and fly home from there), choose either city as your furthest point. In most cases your options will be the same when cities are in the same general region.
  4. Click GO to continue.
  5. Click the curved line between cities to view a list of possible stopover points. Click on a city name to choose a stopover, or click 'map' to view a map of the stopover region.
  6. Once you have chosen a stopover, you can remove or change it by clicking on the city name.
  7. Add another stopover if required by clicking the curved line between the points you would like to add your next stop.
  8. If you would like to make your own arrangements for part of the journey, click the curved line to change it to a dotted line. We will not search for flights for this part of the journey. Click again to change it back. This option may not be available on all routes.
  9. To fly out of a different city than your original destination, click the box below your destination city. Click on a city name to choose your new city, or click 'map' to view a map of the region.
  10. To fly back to a different city than you started in, click the box below your original starting point. Click on a city name to choose your new city, or click 'map' to view a map of the region.
  11. To change your original city choices, click Start Over.
  12. As you choose your stopovers, your itinerary will build up below. Select a travel date for each leg of your journey.
  13. Select your preferred Service Class, and the number of people travelling. You can book up to 9 passengers in each booking on Air New Zealand operated flights. If your journey includes travel on other airlines maximum passenger numbers will be lower.
  14. Click Search Now.
